Dear parents of great Chickasaw Charter students:

As we look forward to a strong finish to our fourth quarter, we have some terrific news to share.  Dr. LaTonia Harris, a veteran educator with an impressive track record of success has been hired as principal of Renaissance Charter School at Chickasaw and begins work on May 1.

Dr. Harris has been a highly successful leader at several schools managed by Charter Schools USA.  Her most recent achievement was to earn Top Gains status for Southwest Louisiana Charter Academy for excellent performance. She has extensive experience leading schools with diverse student populations including those in special education, gifted, Head Start and English Language Learners (ELL) programs.

Dr. Harris earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Florida State University and her Master of Education and Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

We will schedule a Meet and Greet date very soon so that you can introduce yourself to Dr. Harris.  Thank you for your continued support and patience as we searched for the perfect permanent principal to lead our students to greatness!

Sincerely,

April Williams
